Cook your own meals, eat with us or try the local restaurants.

When the kitchen is open, dining with us is yummy and healthy.

While we are working towards being able to serve up three full meals a day year round, currently we can only bring our chefs in when programs and events are taking place or larger groups have booked retreats and requested meals.

If you are staying on days when meals are being served, we invite personal retreat guests to upgrade to a yummy full breakfast (continental breakfast is complimentary) and enjoy lunch for $14 and dinner for $16 (your booking agent will be able to let you know if meals are possible on dates you plan to stay or, if your schedule is flexible, can arrange your stay to coincide with open kitchen days).

What our chefs dish up when the kitchen is open.

At Harmony Hill Retreat Center, our healthy gourmet cuisine focuses on fresh, whole foods. We highlight vegetarian foods and also offer fish and chicken options. We make an effort to source and cook with only natural, earth-friendly ingredients and you’ll often enjoy produce from our own gardens. All meals are served buffet-style.

If you have special food needs or are vegan, our chefs are skilled at accommodating you. Please let us know when you book and they’ll be happy to serve up some delicious options tailored just for you.

For drinks, meals comes with water, coffee and tea (juice and/or fruit smoothies are served with full breakfast). Hot water and tea bags are always available in the main dinning room. Coffee/tea brewers are also in rooms.

Our main kitchen is located in the Guest Lodge next to the community dinning room. It is a beautiful and welcoming space with a wood pole-beam vaulted ceiling and stone wood-burning fireplace often with a crackling fire going to warm your mornings. And always mountain views. Seating is community style at large tables.

For those who prefer cooking for yourself.

We have found that some of our personal retreat guests like to prepare their own meals. If you are one of them, the Cottage or Creekside kitchens may be used when available (please ask when booking). The Cottage kitchen is a full size kitchen complete with pots, pans and cooking utensils. It also has a small dining area. Creekside is a smaller kitchen, but has all you’ll need to cook up a good meal.

In both cases you will be sharing with other guests, so we ask that you clean up after yourself and show mutual consideration for time and space. In some cases there may be a retreat group that has booked the entire residence in which case the kitchen is not open to other guests, so it is a good idea to let your booking agent know you intend to cook your own meals to ensure one of the kitchens is available during your stay.
