Because we're a nonprofit retreat center with a focus on wellness and evidence-based mind-body techniques, we encourage all groups to choose one or more wellness sessions to include as part of their group rental. These sessions enhance your meeting with a change of pace, give your group an opportunity to experience or learn about helpful tools that can reduce stress, enhance well-being, and take advantage of both our facilities and expertise. Groups can choose one or more wellness sessions from these options: Stress Reduction at your Desk - Exhaustion, repetitive strain and held tensions drain your effectiveness at your desk. Learn simple movements and stress reduction techniques to re-energize you. These techniques can easily be incorporated at your desk throughout the day to relieve stress and tension, and help you return to your work with a clear mind and renewed focus. (2 hour session, $500 minimum - see rates for details) Making Small Steps for Big Change - an Introduction to Kaizen - Lasting big changes are best made through tiny steps. Using Kaizen, a simple way of handling challenges, you can position yourself and your colleagues for change, and make your work more effective. Japanese corporations have long used the gentle technique of Kaizen to achieve their business goals and maintain excellence. Kaizen works because it melts away resistancein particular, the fight-or-flight brain chemistry behind our underlying fear of, and resistance to, change. Learn the six easy-to-implement strategies that can create large and lasting differences in your business environment. (2 hour session, $500 minimum - see rates for details) Promoting Resilience & Avoiding Burnout at the Office - Resilience - or strength in the midst of change and stress - is now recognized as a major asset in the workplace, and one of the primary ways to avoid burnout. They perceive a higher level of supervisor support, co-worker cohesion and overall social support. Simple strategies and techniques can turn a 15-minute break into a mini-retreat to recharge, refocus, and renew. Learn how healthy, easy, and tasty snack choices can boost your effectiveness and concentration. Discover how to incorporate simple spa moments into your breaktime. Practice simple stretches that can lower stress and induce effective relaxation, foundational for effectiveness. (2 hour session, $500 minimum - see rates for details) Labyrinth Orientation One of the oldest spiritual and transformational tools known to humankind, the Labyrinth can open your mind and heart. Harmony Hill has three beautiful outdoor labyrinths and one indoor canvas labyrinth, as well as many wooden finger labyrinths. Learn to walk the labyrinth to open you to inspiration, guidance, imagination and intuition. (30-45 minute session, $100) Introduction to Nutrition & Health - Overview of ways you can improve your diet and health. Tips to make small changes that will have big results. (30-45 minute session, $100) Hand and Foot Massage Simple, easy-to-do self massage techniques to help you recover from the rigors of work and daily life, allowing you to feel renewed and refreshed. (2-hour session, $300 minimum - see rates for details) Yoga - Yoga is a soothing, quieting practice where the breathing becomes more relaxed and the body rests deeply.
