A survey reported by the American Association of Medical Colleges found only about half of all physicians would choose medicine as a career if they were just starting out today. Only 42 percent said they would recommend medicine as a career for their children, and, though the need for skilled nursing professionals is expected to climb through 2020, the country is currently facing a worsening shortage of nurses. Harmony Hill provides occasional retreats that help health professionals improve their ability to nurture themselves and their patients while working in a health care system that is producing record levels of stress and burnout. Periodically we also offer professional workshops for oncology nurses and other health care providers about integrating evidence-based holistic healing elements into their regular practice.
