Deepen Your Holistic Lifestyle Retreat: A Radical Remission Coaching Retreat
March 10th at 11 AM to March 12th at 3 PM, 2023 (Fri-Sun)
Join our amazing facilitators and certified health coaches, Liz & Karla, for this deeper dive into the 10 Key Healing Factors outlined in the books Radical Remission and Radical Hope by Kelly A. Turner, Ph.D.
In this 3-day retreat, you will develop and strengthen your Radical Remission “game plan” goals through peer learning and small group coaching. This retreat is designed to take you to the next level of self-learning and commitment, or even recommitment, to your health and healing lifestyle. Small group coaching will be utilized in this retreat to ensure that you are building a personalized plan to help you implement and solidify the holistic lifestyle practices that will help you increase your healthspan.
Holistic Lifestyle practices include plant-based eating, strong social connections, identifying and nurturing your purpose, mindfulness, meditation, and movement. Everyone can benefit from a deeper dive into how best to lean into these practices and more fully integrate them into their thriving beyond cancer life. Time for reflection and introspection will be built in as well as plenty of time to relax and reconnect with yourself and nature.
This program is designed for those familiar with the Radical Remission healing factors or has already participated in a Radical Remission workshop. Those new to Radical Remission are welcome to join us in July for our upcoming Radical Remission in-person retreat.
The amazing culinary team of Harmony Hill will craft delicious meals that are plant-strong to allow for a physical reset and the opportunity to experience healthy eating.

As a caregiver, it is easy to let your well run dry. I have worked as a physical therapist for over 40 years always taking care of others. I initially attended an Ayurvedic retreat when my husband was diagnosed with cancer, which added another layer of caregiving. The retreat gave me the support and opportunity to not feel guilty about my feelings even though I wasn’t the one with cancer. I learned the importance of self-care that I needed to keep my well full. I then became a practitioner with the retreats and continued to learn and benefit from the teachings. Understanding the importance of ME. These valued lessons have helped me avoid the downward spirals that can happen with life’s unexpected challenges

I was introduced to Balanced Life Retreats approximately one year after completing cancer treatment.
Prior to cancer, I was overwhelmed, feeling I was expected to be everything to everyone. Demands were put on me until I would explode into tears. This was my life both personal and professional. After my cancer diagnosis, six months of chemotherapy and six weeks of radiation, I knew I didn’t want my life to continue on this road but had no idea how to make the changes necessary to better my life. One day I arrived at an acupuncture appointment with Patti. I was especially stressed over some work event and Patti, hearing the stress in my voice, said “Whoa, Whoa, Whoa, you need to go to my retreat!” I attended her retreat. I meditated and did yoga for the first time ever. Throughout the weekend, we each made a collage. We had access to the facilitators and were able to talk about whatever was on our mind. Somewhere along the way, my life changed. I had value. I deserved happiness. And throughout the weekend, I was given tools to begin making the changes to my life I so desperately wanted.
After that, I attended numerous retreats and with each retreat, I came away with more life tools. As time went on, I began to help facilitate the retreats. What I saw with each and every retreat was that lives were changed.

When I became a part of the Balance Life Retreats I had no idea how much I would learn about myself. (Who wants to look at themselves, I sure as hell didn’t. I’m not brave)
I have been abused, loved and had great loss, I was fine….
At the retreat I soon realized I could hold on to that life or embrace what was being offered and accept that life can be better, and it’s not just about putting on a smile to get through another day.
I ‘m still learning how to take care of myself, when it’s time to take a deep breath. STOP slow down, listen and enjoy what’s around me, who’s around me, what space am I in…
I can still take care of the people and things in my life, and take care of me too.
It’s ok to say no, and not feel ashamed or guilty because I did.
The people in my life want what’s best for me and want me to be happy.
I keep reminding myself, Life is a life journey.
And I’m excited to keep moving forward on mine.
“Be the reason someone smiles, Be the reason someone feels loved and believes in the goodness in people.”
