Greetings on another wonderful summer day. This blog will focus on the many stellar world-renown speakers who have blessed Harmony Hill with presentations here: Joan Borysenko, Lynne Twist, Deanna Minich, Larry Dossey, and Mark Nepo

Joan quote: “We emerge into the light not by denying our pain, but by walking through it.”

Lynn Twist
Lynne Twist is a co-founder of The Pachamama Alliance and founder of The Soul of Money Institute. She has dedicated herself to alleviating poverty and hunger and supporting social justice and environmental sustainability. Her book: The Soul of Money: Transforming Your Relationship with Money and Life, was incredibly helpful in our start-up days. Lynne has been to HH several times for powerful presentations. Additionally, she mentored us with strategies and outreach for our 2008 capital campaign which were enormous gifts.
Lynne quote: “Money is like water. It can be a conduit for commitment, a currency of love. Money moving in the direction of our highest commitments nourishes our world and ourselves. What you appreciate appreciates. When you make a difference with what you have, it expands. Collaboration creates prosperity. True abundance flows from enough; never from more. Money carries our intention. If we use it with integrity, then it carries integrity forward. “

Deanna quote: “…if we really want the biggest shift possible, we need to look at the whole context of our lives. It’s not just the foods that we eat, but it’s how we think about the foods that we’re eating.”

Larry Dossey, MD
Larry Dossey, MD is a physician and author of 12 books who propounds the importance of healing of prayer, spirituality, and other non-physical factors. Bringing the experience of a practicing internist and the soul of a poet to the discourse, Dr. Dossey offers panoramic insight into the nature and the future of medicine. Larry and his wife Barbara Dossey are working to reshape the very ground of medicine and healthcare. (Barbie and the Integrative Nurse Coach Association ( INCA) programs have been offered here for years—a future blog will feature Barbie, a wonderful People to People trip to China I attended with her and INCA.) In One Mind, New York Times best-selling author Larry Dossey proposes an inspiring view of consciousness that may reshape our destiny. Dossey’s premise is that all individual minds are part of an infinite, collective dimension of consciousness he calls the One Mind. The state –which we can all access-explains phenomena as diverse as epiphanies, creative breakthroughs, premonitions of danger or disaster, near-death experiences, and remote healing. In 2016 Dr. Dossey gave a fascinating presentation at HH: “Is the Soul Obsolete? Implications of a Common Consciousness for Immortality and Creativity”
Larry quote: “I used to believe that we must choose between science and reason on one hand, and spirituality on the other, in how we lead our lives. Now I consider this a false choice. We can recover the sense of sacredness, not just in science, but perhaps in every area of life” Picture Larry One Mind

Thanks for reading these blogs. Greatly appreciate your caring and support.
Many blessings to each of you! Gretchen
Hi, there! This is long ago friend Dee (Campbell) Adams just checking in. I think you just celebrated a birthday (as did I) and I have enjoyed following your career. I think back to your decision to leave WSU and enter the Tacoma General School of Nursing – because it offered the opportunity to be in hospital providing real nursing care from the beginning. You saw a better way for you to shape your own career and opened the door for better programs and hands on training for nurses who followed you. Harmony Hill is another wonderful legacy. When I was working, I always made a monthly contribution from my monthly check to Harmony Hill. I knew you’d put it to good use. Happy and healthy New Year!! Dee
