IN-PERSON 3-DAY CANCER RETREATS
Our signature program, which has been in continuous refinement since 1994, is our 3-day Cancer Retreats. These retreats combine small group work, focused on sharing stories and experiences that take down the walls of isolation that often get built with a cancer experience.
So often, when trying to share your feelings with loved ones and friends who have not had a cancer experience, you can find that you are minimizing how you speak about it or are worrying about causing fear and anxiety for them. When you are in a group of others who have had a life-altering cancer diagnosis, your ability to lean in and listen or share from deep spaces is magnified and supported in a way you can’t yet imagine.

This retreat is experiential, from the inside out. Come and learn ways to manage your stress, feelings of isolation, and loneliness. Learn about mindfulness and tapping into the inner wisdom that already lives inside you. Experience gentle movement and meditation, along with creative expression. We are here to co-journey with you to find a greater sense of connectedness and well-being.
The retreat program is free, but you must pay the base cost of your lodging and meals. This cost is $325-$525 per cancer participant, depending on the room you select at Sacred Waters. This cost covers two nights of lodging and seven meals. If you wish to have a companion share the room with you, the cost to add them is only the extra meal package, which is a $175.
We offer a limited number of sliding-scale scholarships for Washington residents at each retreat. These scholarships can reduce the cost of attendance to as little as $55 per person. If you would like to apply for a scholarship, please do so before attempting to register. If you are interested in a scholarship, please apply here. If your companion also needs a scholarship and lives in Washington, please have them apply separately.
Quotes from participants on what this retreat has added to their lives:
- This retreat has connected me to so many people who have inspired me to change aspects of my life after cancer.
- Opened the door to emotions needing expression.
- I feel it has allowed me to be more open in unfamiliar environments. I was able to lean into the process and find healing through talking and writing and connecting with others with cancer.
- This retreat was a beautiful reminder of the value of prioritizing self, and the beauty of self-discovery, and growth that comes from opening up, being vulnerable, sharing and connecting.
- I feel I will be more open – mind, heart, spirit, and body. To accept and move through grief and loss, not dwelling on or being stuck, but able to let the grief flow through.
- I’ve found it to be heart-opening and grounding. Connecting with others has been essential.
